The Massachusetts Promise Fellowship and Minnesota Alliance with Youth came together to celebrate our collective impact on youth across Massachusetts and Minnesota July 7-11th during #PromiseFellow week! Thank you for joining us on Facebook (MassPromise) and Twitter (@MassPromise) and spreading the word about our accomplishments as well as sharing the stories of Fellows past, present, and future.
In 2013-2014, 240 Fellows collectively served 339,114 hours valuing $8.4 million to the Independent Sector's value of a volunteer hour. Activities included supporting 3,563 young people in Massachusetts through initiatives focused on mentoring, academic support, college advising, and service-learning and working with 4,200 Minnesota youth struggling with Attendance, Behavior, and/or Core Academics (ABCs). Promise Fellows served 12 cities and communities in Massachusetts and 22 counties in Minnesota.
This past year, Promise Fellow programs celebrated 15 years of service to youth. We look forward to continuing to deliver the Five Promises to young people for years to come!
